Day 01
Kathmandu Arrival (1400m) - Overnight in Kathmandu
- Welcome to Nepal, a representative from Kailash Vision Treks will be there at the Tribhuvan international airport to meet & greet you and transfer you to the hotel by private vehicle.
- Accommodation: Deluxe hotel (Hotel Tibet / Holiday Inn Express)
- Meal: Dinner only at hotel
Day 02
Kathmandu Sightseeing - Half Day
- 08:30 am – After breakfast – sightseeing of Pashupatinath Temple, Shakti Peeth, Boudha Stupa and Budhanilkantha.
- Meal: Breakfast, lunch and dinner
Day 03
Yatra Starts- Drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi or Timure
- 8:00 am – After breakfast, begin your scenic drive from Kathmandu towards the Langtang region.
Drive to Syabrubesi (141 km / approximately 6 hours), or Timure (152 km / approximately 7 hours). The journey passes through picturesque hills, terraced farmland, and traditional villages, offering beautiful views of the surrounding landscapes. - Accommodation: Twin sharing

Day 04
Yatra Starts - Drive to Kyirong County (2850 m)
- After Breakfast – Drive from Syabrubesi to Rasuwagadhi (1,800 m)
A distance of approximately 15 km taking around 45 minutes. Alternatively, from Timure, it is a 10–15 minute walk to the Rasuwagadhi border. - Upon arrival, complete the immigration and customs formalities on both the Nepal and China sides of the border. After clearing the border procedures, continue the drive to Kyirong County (2,850 m), which is approximately 40 km away and takes about 1 hour.

Day 05
Free day at Kyirong for acclimatization
This day is reserved for rest for acclimatization in Tibet’s tough climate. Our tour manager will assist you for a short Local walking at Kyirong for warming up your body to adjust with Tibet’s high altitude. Also, you can enjoy the day with chanting Bhajan or Katha in the guesthouse.

Day 06
Kyirong – Saga ( 235 km / 4-5 hrs)
After Lunch drive to Saga and arrive at settlement of Saga (4840 m). The landscape gradually changes to the high plains of Tibet, soft, beautiful and photogenic. Cross the holy Yarlung Tsangpo (Brahmaputra River) to reach Saga.

Day 07
Drive to Mansarovar Lake (4550m)
- 08:00 am – Drive towards Mansarovar Lake (390 km/8 hrs) and stay at the shore of the Lake. Fill spiritual water and perform a half parikrama of Mansarovar Lake on a local vehicle.

Day 08
Drive to Darchen (4650m)
Most of the day – Perform Puja (prayer ritual) at Mansarovar Lake
- After Lunch – We will do rest of Mansarovar parikrama & drive to Darchen (35 km – 1hr)

Day 09
First Day of Outer Kora - Trek to Dirapuk (4860m)
- 10:00am – After a short drive, we will reach Tarboche and visit Yama Dwar. This is the starting point for Kora. We will trek to Dirapuk (4860 m) which is a 12 km trek (5-6 hrs). You will visit the North face of Mt. Kailash. Travelers who do not want to trek around (parikrama) Kailash can go back to Darchen and wait for the rest of the group to arrive from Parikrama.
If you are not doing parikrama, you will be waiting at hotel in Darchen – twin sharing. Additional cost of USD $50 per person per night to be paid directly by guest till group return from Parikrama; we will provide meals. - Accommodation: Guest house – multiple sharing

Day 10
Second Day of Outer Kora - On to Zuthulphuk (4670m) with Trek to Dolma La Pass
- 07:00AM – Trek from Dirapuk to Dolma La Pass and proceed to Zuthulphuk (22 km trek for 10-12 hours trek). This is the most difficult part of the yatra since you have to trek up to 5630 m and descend to Gaurikunda then further trek to Zuthulphuk.

Day 11
Drive Back to Saga (4550m)
- 08:00 am – After a short Trek (8kms – 2-3 hrs) and reach the point where the coach will be waiting, we will drive to Darchen and merge with other members and drive to Saga. (480 km – 9-10 hrs).

Day 12
Drive back to Kyirong (2850m - 220 km – 5 to 6 hrs)
- Back journey, drive to Kyirong County. Overnight stay at Hotel

Day 13
Nyalam - Kathmandu (175 km / 6 – 7 hrs drive)
- Drive from Kyirong to the border (40 km – 1 hr) and completing immigration formalities drive back to Kathmandu – around 7-8 hr / 152 km.

Transfer to Kathmandu Airport
You will be free till your flight time. We will drop you at the

Our priority is to ensure you enjoy your pilgrimage and trust our services. However, we must establish clear guidelines regarding cancellations and refunds due to the nature of this journey and the third-party arrangements involved.
I. Cancellations by Traveller
If you wish to cancel your booking, you must send a written cancellation notice to aus@kailashvisiontreks.com. The cancellation will be effective from the date we receive your notice and is subject to the following conditions:
- 60 days or more before departure: A refund will be provided after deducting AUD 500 per person as administrative and booking processing fees. If the itinerary includes the Muktinath trip, an additional AUD 200 per person will be charged.
- Within 45 days of departure: No refund will be issued.
- No-show or cancellation after reaching the starting point: The full payment is non-refundable and non-adjustable.
II. Cancellations by Operator or Due to Force Majeure
- Kailash Vision Treks are not responsible for cancellations or disruptions due to factors beyond our control, including but not limited to industrial disputes, technical failures of transportation, delays, government restrictions, natural disasters, or force majeure events.
- If the tour is cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances beyond our control, a refund will be issued after deducting actual expenses incurred for permits, logistics, and other non-refundable costs.
III. Non-Refundable Components
- Certain costs, such as Tibet Entry Fees and service charges managed by third-party agents or suppliers along the route, are strictly non-refundable. These are fixed costs beyond our discretion and cannot be adjusted or waived.

Is food provided during the Yatra?
Yes. Vegetarian meals are generally provided by operators. Carry personal dry snacks for energy.
Can children go on Kailash Yatra?
It’s generally not recommended for those under 10 years, due to high-altitude risks.
What is Acute Mountain Sickness (AMS) on Kailash Yatra?
AMS is a condition caused by high altitude. Symptoms include headache, dizziness, and shortness of breath.
